Brick & Batten’s exterior design process is simple, guided, and fully virtual, from sharing a photo or blueprint to receiving a detailed, custom design plan. You’ll work with a dedicated Design Project Manager, receive professional renderings, and have the opportunity to refine your design with a complimentary revision. This article walks through what’s included, the types of packages and add-ons available, and exactly what to expect once you place your order.

1. Getting Started

Our Design Transformation begins with a simple online form.

You’ll:

When you work with Brick & Batten, you’re getting more than a single image—you’re getting a full exterior design plan and support throughout the process.

Your design includes:

  • Custom exterior design + hardscape
    Patios, decks, pools, outdoor kitchens, walkways, driveways, awnings, and more—based on what you’re open to changing.

  • Professional renderings
    Photo-realistic before-and-after visuals that help you clearly see your home’s new look.

  • Complimentary revision
    Design is a process. Every design comes with one complimentary revision so you can refine details after seeing your initial rendering.

  • Clickable design document
    A detailed document outlining paint colors, siding, stone, lighting, planters, and other elements—plus guidance on items that are best sourced locally.

  • Dedicated Project Manager
    You’ll have a single point of contact who advocates for you, answers questions, and keeps your project moving.

  • Access to our Pro Network specialist

3. Packages and Add-On Services (Overview)

Design Transformation Package
A complete exterior redesign of your home, including anything you’re open to changing—such as lighting, cladding, adding a porch, hardscape, backyard living space, paint, new windows, doors, trim, garage door, and more.

Paint Visualization Package
Ideal if you only want to explore paint changes. This package includes anything you can do with a paintbrush. Our design team selects paint colors that work with your home’s architecture, environment, and fixed elements, and every paint package includes two paint options (for example, a lighter and a darker option).

Add-On Services (examples)

  • Expedited delivery (as fast as 4 business days)
  • Premium landscape design recommendations (with Design Transformation)
  • Second color option (with Design Transformation)
  • Live 45-minute Zoom session with your designer to collaborate in real time

4. What Happens After You Place Your Order

Once you place your order and submit your information:

  1. We confirm your details
    Your Design Project Manager reviews your form, photos or blueprints, and any notes you’ve shared about style, goals, or constraints.

  2. Your Design Project Manager reaches out
    You’ll get a welcome message from your Project Manager.

    • If you requested a phone call, they’ll schedule that with you.
    • If not, they’ll proceed based on the information you’ve provided and will reach out if anything needs clarification.

  3. Our design team creates your rendering
    Using your photos/blueprints, goals, and package selection, our designers create professional renderings and your clickable design document.

  4. You review your design
    You’ll receive your design and documentation to review at your own pace. This is your chance to sit with the options, share with family or friends, and think through what feels best for your home.

  5. Use your complimentary revision (if needed)
    If you’d like to adjust certain elements—such as color, lighting, or specific features—you can use your complimentary revision to fine-tune the design.

5. Next Steps: How to Begin

When you’re ready to move forward:

  3. Place your order and complete the short form (or let your Design Project Manager help you with it by phone).

Once your order is received, your Design Project Manager will reach out to say hello and guide you through what to expect next. If you’ve requested a call, they’ll schedule that; if not, they’ll begin working with the information you’ve already provided.
